I recently took photos of Henry Jerome, lead hairdresser of Saint Anita salon. As I captured the nooks and crannies of his airy salon, located in Richardson, TX, I found myself reflecting on how long we have known each other and how long we have been watching our dreams come to life.

I met Henry in 2012, the year I married my husband and moved to Dallas. He had a dream of making a space filled with all of his inspirations, and centered around hair cuts. During that time I was seeking ways to find my own creative voice. I began filling my contact book with people who believed in my dream of being a celebrated portrait photographer.

Over the years I’ve been able to capture the many stages of Henry’s vision.
From his headshots, to the “coming soon” photos for his website to capturing portraits of women in his signature barber style pixie cut. 

Establishing connections 

In many ways, my connection to Henry is similar to the connections I make on a daily basis. I find myself getting to know lots of small business owners that have a dream and are looking for a cheerleader, team player or vision holder, to take them to the next level. We all need that at one point or another.    

Connecting with the individuals that make up my community is how I stay motivated to be better. I can make a change in people’s lives because of what my wisdom and photos offer. 

Support your community

Saint Anita is very much a “If you know, you know,” or speakeasy type of place. Especially considering you have to walk through a coffee shop to get there.  

And you better book in advance! Henry’s in high demand because of the unbeatable pricing alongside his unmatched attention to detail to your hair needs. The motherhood community LOVES praising him for how patient he is with kids in his chair. He even makes the BEST cocktail drinks for parents during your one on one with him. 

He just has a level of attention that he brings to everything he does. Henry has an ambition for connecting more with his own community and helping out through events. I hope you’ll consider learning more about him and his work.
